Pros: Great firm.
Great benefits.
Very relaxed/chill work.
Flat structure.
Cons: Your work highly depends on your department. You could have an extremely dynamic and exciting job or team, or not so much.
No equity like other firms.
Very flat structure. So much so that a promotion could be 5-10 years away (depends on department).

One of the worst companies to work for!!!

Pros: Used to have free lunch. Not anymore.
Cannot think of anything else.
Cons: If you are going there, just keep this in mind.
You can be Albert Einstein and be the smartest in the world, but you don't get promoted easily.
Everything here works based on relationships.
Very long, extra hours of work without pay!
Zero work-life balance.
Erratic rules: be a buddy to your manager, and you can come at 10 AM and leave at 5 PM, no problem.
Otherwise, arrive at 8:05 AM, and you can be in trouble.

Pros: I have been working at Bloomberg for two years. It has an open culture, a free terminal, great benefits in NYC, a nice environment, and great people to work with.
Cons: Not really. The cost of living might be expensive if you want to balance commuting and quality of life.
