Software Developer Interview Experience - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Positive ExperienceNo Offer

Process

I was asked to write C++ code on a notepad.

  1. Implement a binary tree.
  2. Code to clean some text and show object-oriented concepts.
  3. Explain the differences between Java and C++.

I got through the interview and to a second round, before which I had to complete an online test. You could choose which language (C++, Java, C#) to use. The test was not easy, but not hard either. However, you only had three minutes per question, and if unprepared, this could be a disadvantage, which is what happened to me.

Overall, I am disappointed that I was not fully prepared for the test. I received an email a couple of hours later, which, when translated, stated that I did not score above the system's cutoff. Oh well, bye bye, Bloomberg!

Questions
