Process

Friendly atmosphere throughout the entire process. It took about 2+ weeks for HR to pick up the application, but then all next steps happened in a timely manner.

You will talk over the phone about basic matters. Then you will be given a small homework assignment. After that, they will invite you to the office.

In the office, you will talk to a number of people, including your future team members and management. Expect code pairing for the entire technical part. There was no complex or brain-twisting material. Think about why you want to work for BLP.

There will be no feedback once you have finished.

Questions

Explain false sharing.

Write a CPU emulator with a limited instruction set. Think about the debugger implementation.

How would you architect a market data distribution network?
