Software Engineer Interview Experience - London, United Kingdom

Process

The interview process began with a telephone interview, followed by an onsite interview.

The onsite interview lasted approximately 1.5 hours and involved three interviewers. One of them was an observer who did not ask any questions but was very helpful. The questions primarily focused on data structures and memory complexity.

If successful, the next step would presumably be an HR interview. Although I did not pass the technical round, the process felt smooth, and the interviewers were very nice.

I felt I struggled with my coding skills, and I regretted wasting their time. I also forgot many important concepts I should have remembered.

My advice is not to spend too much time practicing specific programming problems, as it's not always very useful. Instead, I believe one should ensure their preparation covers all the basic knowledge of their chosen programming language.

Bloomberg is my dream company, but I suppose I am not skilled enough at this time. I might try again after I am better prepared.
