Neutral ExperienceNo Offer

Process

Applied online -> phone interview -> onsite -> Rejected after 2 interviews. This is usually the case with Bloomberg. If one doesn't make it past the second interview, they are rejected. They will expect almost perfect answers for all questions, with coded solutions for each.

Questions

During a phone interview, I was asked two questions:

  • Permutations of a string
  • LeetCode Word Break II

During the onsite interviews, I had two interviews, each with two questions:

  • Given a number n, find the shortest path from 1 to n using only two operations: *2 and /3.
  • Merge two sorted arrays.

Second Interview:

  • Given stocks and conversion ratios (e.g., USD/INR -> 1.3, EUR/CAD -> 2.3), find the shortest conversion between any two currencies. There may not necessarily be a direct conversion between two currencies, so multiple conversions may be required.
  • A variation of LRU Cache.
