I applied online and I had an interview at Bloomberg, New York. The process took around two weeks to hear from the recruiter. Then, we quickly scheduled a phone interview within the next three weeks.
The question was not hard, especially if you practice LeetCode questions. I suggest getting a LeetCode subscription so you can access Bloomberg's most frequently asked questions.
The interviewer was nice and patient overall. The only thing I didn't like is that she was late and didn't prepare her questions, which cost me the chance of doing well. It looked like someone else prepared the questions and gave them to her.
She struggled with explaining how to arrive at outputs for given inputs, and honestly, even now, I still don't understand the main question very well. I believe this is the reason I failed.
After about 15 minutes trying to understand the question together, we came up with designing a data structure for a nested list that could also contain another nested list inside. Based on the information she gave me, I personally think the question was about creating all subsets for a given input array of numbers. However, this is not what she gave me, and even after the interview, I am still confused.
