I applied online. They emailed me after two weeks to schedule a technical screening. The screening was scheduled for another two weeks later. On the third day after the screening, I received an email stating they wanted to invite me for an onsite interview.
I emailed my availability to confirm my onsite interview. Due to some reason, they asked me to schedule it later and finally scheduled it after four weeks.
The interview was good. It started with a tour of Bloomberg Tower. Then, they allowed me to collect my food and reimbursement (if any). At that location, three interviewers were waiting for me, holding my resume. We then walked to the interview room.
They asked me technical questions based on data structures and complexity. Another interviewer arrived after the first one left. He asked me a design question. He then guided me to the exit. I did not have any HR or Manager interviews.
At that point, I was confused because the interview went well and I answered most of their questions. I asked if I would have any other interviews. He said no, and that they would let me know about it later.
As per Glassdoor reviews, I knew I was likely rejected, but based on the last interviewer's answer, I thought I still had a chance. They emailed me three days later with the rejection.
I asked for feedback but never received any. However, they did email me a link to provide feedback about the interview process, which I completed.
The surprising part was meeting a few other interviewees at the exit point. They had been told the same thing. The commonality among all of us was that we were international students. I am not sure if that means something, as I suspect, or not. If so, why did they waste my two months, especially since I mentioned it at the time of applying? That was disappointing.
