February 1, 2010
Positive ExperienceNo Offer

Process

First, there is an online evaluation system. Basically, you can choose from C, C++, or Java for evaluation.

Then, you will be contacted by two engineers to do some coding and brain teaser over the phone.

At last, three on-site interviews will happen in a day:

  • One for programming
  • One for a design problem
  • One for HR

Questions

Some basic time and space complexity problems of every sorting algorithm, linked list, and array comparison.

Hash tables are a popular question. They will ask if you have used them before, which libraries you used, or how you implemented them yourself. Java is much easier than C++ to resolve these.

Brain teaser: Two people have two pizzas for food, but only one of them is holding the knife. One cut per pizza. Each person has only one chance to have the priority to choose one slice of a pizza. This means a process of cutting, choosing, cutting, choosing. How many of the pizza can the one with the knife get at maximum?
