Applied through the University Career Fair. Received a phone interview one month later. Passed the first round phone interview and proceeded to an onsite interview a few weeks later.
Onsite:
Candidates were offered lunch, and HR led a group of candidates on a tour of the company before interviews began. One or two employees would then pick up candidates for their interviews. (A general observation is that if only one interviewer is waiting for you, you are very likely not moving forward.)
Failed after two rounds of interviews. (The full onsite interview process includes four rounds: the first two for technical questions, one for a manager, and one for HR. If you do not perform well, HR may dismiss you after two rounds.)
Some general interview questions were asked, such as the differences between C++ and Java, and knowledge about C++ concepts like polymorphism.
I was also asked about projects I've done before, but not in great detail.
The algorithm questions were not hard. Examples include finding a peak using binary search, finding the intersection of arrays using a hash table, and determining the right side view of a tree using a queue.
I still have no idea about the reason I failed.
