I interviewed at Bloomberg for an entry-level software engineer role. The first-round interviewer was nice, and we had a good conversation. I was then passed to the second interview.
The second interview went fine. I was given a problem, which I solved. The interviewer then added more constraints to the problem twice, which I also solved. This seemed to be going well.
Afterward, I asked the interviewer some questions about the company. However, because the interviewer was a front-end engineer and not familiar with my questions, they seemed a bit embarrassed. I found this unprofessional, as they could have at least provided some context or background information from their own daily job, but they didn't.
Then, I got rejected. Bloomberg doesn't provide written feedback, so the recruiter sent me an email saying they could provide verbal feedback via phone call. I replied promptly with my available slots but never heard back from them, which was also unprofessional.
