Process

I got an interview through a career fair held at my college. I had the interview at school with two software engineers, and it was an hour long.

They asked a few fit questions, such as why I was interested in Bloomberg and what I would be interested in working on, for about five minutes. The rest of the time was devoted to technical questions.

I was asked the following:

  • Find the second-largest number in an array of integers.
  • Fibonacci numbers. They asked for an optimization to the recursive solution.
  • Find the height of a tree.
  • Find the longest path in a tree.

Questions

Find the height of a tree.

Then, find the longest path in a tree.
