I applied online and received an email to schedule a phone interview.
My interview was rescheduled on the same day.
I received a rejection three business days after the interview.
The interviewer seemed confused himself.
There was something going on in the background near him, and I had to ask him to repeat the question many times.
The first question was standard C and related to pointers, for example, what &a[0] means.
The second question involved debugging C code, which I messed up.
The third question was their standard one: find the longest increasing subsequence. My interviewer misinterpreted this as finding the longest contiguous increasing subsequence.
Finally, after all this confusion, he asked me to explain the logic and time complexity.
He then gave me 10 minutes to write down my code and grilled me regarding memory leaks and checking if the vector was empty.
Overall, it was a bad interview experience.
