The worst interview experience I’ve ever gone through.
One interviewer was great: very friendly, communicated well, asked me good questions, and worked with me through the technical problem. The other interviewer was awful. He refused to let me code my solution unless I did it exactly how he wanted, constantly talked over me, and nitpicked every bit of my approach, even if it didn’t have any relevance to the problem at hand. On top of that, he was condescending throughout the entire interview.
I’ve interviewed with many companies, ranging from Big Tech to small startups, and I’ve never had such a terrible interview experience. You would think a big company like Bloomberg would vet their interviewers and not put such a terrible interviewer in a position to represent their company.
The interview process shouldn’t be so subjective that the outcome of the interview depends on whether or not your interviewer was having a bad day.
Awful experience, and I will not be applying here in the future.
