Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

Normally I don't fill these out, but the technical phone screen I had at Bloomberg was so disrespectful that I decided to say something. The question was simple enough, but the interviewer was incredibly disrespectful. Rather than finding a quiet place to do have it, it sounded like he was in the middle of a busy office, and I could barely understand every other word. In addition, my interviewer took time throughout the interview to talk and exchange jokes (not in English either) with co-workers. The interviewing process is stressful enough without the addition of background laughter as I'm working through problems.

I don't know if I'll get brought in on-site, but I'd turn it down at this point. I don't want to work for a company that can't give an hour of respect towards possible new employees.
