Process
They did not turn up. The interviewer was ill, and no one communicated this to me. The following week, they emailed to say that I had not been offered the internship. Poor show.

Cons: Lots of "tribal knowledge" and proprietary tech. Ramping up takes time.

Challenging but Stimulating
Software Developer • Current Employee
City of London, England, United Kingdom
August 21, 2012
Pros: Fantastic support for continuing education, excellent location, interesting work, good benefits package including private healthcare, open pay reviews, and a clear bonus structure. Supports the community and encourages involvement with local schools and charities.
10-week training program to get you up and contributing the minute you join your team.
Cons: Long hours, high pressure. The atmosphere occasionally can seem unsupportive. It uses in-house tech rather than common architectures/databases, which can be frustrating to some. It's not ideal if you are more interested in Quant-style work or disinterested in the finance industry.
