Horrible experience with HR.
I was in North America but applied for a position in London. The initial interview went smoothly, and I was invited to schedule an on-site interview in London. I verified several times if the HR representative was aware of my geographical location and the fact that I would likely need two nights of hotel stay due to the sheer length of the trip. I was assured this was all accounted for and to go ahead with the scheduling.
The scheduled time was quickly approaching, and I was even contacted regarding travel arrangements, checking if I did not need a visa for the UK.
Lo and behold, two days before my scheduled on-site, I received a call saying they "finally realized" my location (I have at least four emails stating it explicitly that were sent to them at various times) and an additional phone screening was required.
I did pass that stage and was then invited to an on-site in NYC. The scheduling for that went smoothly, and the interview was alright.
However, the overall experience was extremely disruptive and showed no respect for my personal time management. A three-day trip to London from a different continent is not something you can plan on a day's notice.
I do not actually remember them; it's been a long while.
