Good culture for the most part.
Cons: Work is often dull and uninspiring. Almost zero greenfield development takes place. This is due to massive amounts of poorly written legacy code that is heavily relied on for the business to continue running.
Tons of red tape.
Stuck using antiquated tech like C++03, FORTRAN, and AIX.
A ton of wasted productivity due to long build times and migration efforts to Linux that should have started 20 years ago.
Favoritism in the promotion process in some cases (people 2 years out of a training class with no project management experience promoted over veterans with track records of producing results).
Since 2016, raises have generally been below inflation for many across the firm.
The firm is becoming more political over time, with managers focusing on presentation more than delivery.
