I'm a senior software engineer at Bloomberg, and this review is my own, plus what I have heard from my colleagues and friends in other teams within this company.
You will be at your desk almost all the time. Normally, people come at 9 and don't leave before 7. This is a normal working day. On special occasions, you may have to stay even more and need to work on weekends.
They track every minute you spend in the office. We have something called PN notes and other tools to track time. You can't bill more than a day on a ticket. If you do, your manager yells at you.
There are no separate cubicles, so everybody can see everybody else. The environment is a little noisy, so it becomes hard to concentrate.
Managers are rude and don't respect team members. Good work won't get appreciation ever (and this is a culture; this is not about a specific manager).
Top management has completely failed in managing software capital. There is a lot of code duplication. Software pieces are scattered here and there, and there is no track of it. Often, you will be writing a module from scratch even though it's available somewhere else.
The interview process is tiresome. They take 5-6 interviews and keep you on contracting for 1 month. That 1 month is a complete torture, and then after that, there might be an additional interview before the offer is extended! TOO MUCH!
Treat your employees like human beings, not slaves!

Reached by the recruiter. Usual Big Tech process. First, a phone screen with a LeetCode problem. After an onsite: They did Algorithms and System Design. They evaluated and decided not to move further. I like that you do not spend time in other in
