Bloomberg has a remarkable culture of everyone helping each other. You can reach out to anyone across the world, and they almost invariably will drop what they're doing at the moment to help you out if they can, even though they've never interacted with you before.

The work/life balance is healthy.

The company is privately owned, thinks long-term, and does not have a share price to chase.

It's a large company covering most aspects of the financial industry, and it's very easy to move around when you want to try something new.

Lagging a bit behind on technology adoption. Nowhere near as bad as banks, but it's not quite up to FAANG standards.

Do not make people TLs just because they're strong engineers.
