A good, big company if you're looking for something stable
Good compensation, good benefits, virtually no overtime or even phone calls beyond usual working hours.
The technical stack (like the C++ standard or compiler being used) is somewhat lagging behind. This is somewhat expected of a company this size and history, and some might find it a good thing. Moreover, trying to bring in new technologies, even if proven in other companies or projects, is non-trivial.
Personal projects, even if open-source and non-profit and in purely personal time (think weekends), are, in my opinion, frowned upon and somewhat hard to get approval for.
