The compensation is reasonably good, and the benefits (medical, 401k) are pretty good too.
The parental leave policy is one of the best anywhere (6 months fully paid).
The software engineers I have worked with here are some of the worst software engineers I’ve ever worked with.
The bar seems to be very low, and some truly terrible engineers then end up doing interviews to hire more bad engineers.
The systems that result from this are predictably brittle and poorly architected.
The engineering leadership is totally out of their depth for how to solve this problem, let alone diagnose it, as far as I can tell.
