- Taking risks is discouraged, even though they may pretend otherwise, thus stifling any attempt at innovation. You can still try to be innovative, but if you fail, you're on your own.
- Fighting fires all the time.
- Medium to high stress work environment.
- Truly horrific legacy code.
- Hack/patch attitude towards fixing things in the name of "time to market". Makes sense in some cases, but not every time.
Information is not freely shared at all. People are crudely reinventing the wheel all the time.
Invest in innovation. It is a worthwhile investment.
