The product is the software; that's what makes the money (as in literally all of the revenue), and the software engineers are treated accordingly.
Lots of new grads go to Bloomberg and stay there. There is less knowledge of how other companies do things than there should be.

I was asked a variation of the LeetCode question Invalid Transactions. I solved it in the end in time as well, but I guess they wanted better because I didn’t get through to the next stage.
