Very good team placement. Recruiters/HR work well to ensure new hires get the teams they desire. Quality of work is good. Very good training sessions and talks by leading experts in C++, such as Bjarne Stroustrup and Alex Stepanov. Employees are encouraged to take part in volunteer activities.
Very good training program for university graduates. Very good benefits include 100% employer-paid health insurance and 401k matching. Teams have started participating in conferences and engaging with the tech community in general.
It's a pain working with the legacy systems. It slows you down. There's so much more that you could do in a day if this stuff wasn't there.
Free snacks in the NY office are okay, but a meal would be better.
Average age is higher than at other tech firms, so managers sometimes have reservations about using recent technologies.
Not a lot of hiring for the west coast office.
Multiple rounds of technical interviews. Didn't get passed round one despite answering all the questions and any followups they had. It was two LeetCode questions, and you would write out your code on a HackerRank interface.
Had three rounds. Be sure to speak more! Communication matters. It's okay if you do not have clues at first, but you need to talk to them about how you think of the problem, and they will guide you through it.
It was a straightforward experience. I talked about my resume for around 10 minutes and then solved a LeetCode-style question. Afterwards, there was an opportunity to ask the interviewer questions about Bloomberg.
