Retirement culture, mediocre crowd: stay for the stability, flee if you want growth
- Great work-life balance.
- Company/managers take good care of you.
- Hard-to-get-fired environment.
- Lots to learn as a fresher straight out of college, but run after a couple of years!
- Great training programs and resources.
- Culture of maintaining the status quo.
- No engineering enthusiasm; best effort engineering only.
- Poor UI framework (RAPID!!).
- No engineering hierarchy (no engineering level above Sr. Software Engineer!!).
- No free lunch; a lot of the cafeteria snacks are not healthy.
The company is only good for older engineers with families or those who like stability and security. The younger crowd with enthusiasm and ambition will not stay long. Don't promote the slow, retirement culture. Same reason why I'm leaving soon.
