Lots of legacy tech. Depending on the team, you need to code in Fortran and work on Solaris/AIX machines that VS Code does not even support.

Lots of internal tech which are not pleasant to use. Almost nothing related to the Bloomberg Terminal is modern.

Development workflow is extremely lagging for lots of teams. No CI/CD, no linting, no formatter, no Docker. Your service will run on a barebone VM instance. Be ready to spend lots of time on figuring out how to build and ship your code.

Most teams adopt the Scrum methodology, so expect daily stand-ups. Some teams have stand-ups two to three times a week.
