Engineers report to engineers, not to business people. As an engineer, it is great that the entire reporting line has an engineering background. Therefore, you have the backup of engineering all the way to the top.
The work can feel monotonous sometimes.
Collaboration across areas is challenging because roadmaps and roadmaps are not always aligned.
