The hiring manager contacted me prior to the formal telephone interview, and was quite pleasant and excited about my application. The formal telephone interview followed a week later as a teleconference with a small panel asking primarily technical questions. One of the people was loaded with trick questions and many trivial questions to boot – like what you might ask a June grad. After a while, it became extremely annoying, and I decided that this was a person I would NEVER care to work with or around. I assume he was applying for the same position or had a buddy he wanted for the slot. Glad I didn't waste too much time on that place.
