Engineer Interview Experience - Los Angeles, California

Process

Got past the screening interview pretty easily. Had trouble getting a hold of the recruiter for a few weeks. After being able to reach the recruiter, I was told to prepare for STAR interview questions for the final interview. The interviewer did not ask any STAR questions. The interview questions were unorthodox and sounded a lot like the position was already filled. It felt like the interview was done out of necessity/protocol.

Questions

They saw one networking class on my resume I took from a few years ago, and they asked: Explain the OSI, TCP, UDP, and their layers.

What is the underlying process of a command like git commit/push?
