Pros: - Great benefits, up to 10% 401k match. - Flexible time. Have a good work-life balance. - The Learning Together Program is amazing! It covers full tuition/fees for qualified STEM courses/programs, with no spending limit. This makes earning certificates for in-demand skills super easy. - Really great pay scale for the aerospace/defense industry. If you’re an entry-level SWE expecting to make $100k+ off the bat, forget it. This isn’t Big Tech. You can get it at level 2. Otherwise, if you’re satisfied with having below that for 2 years, Boeing offers the best entry-level compensation you can get for this industry. The same goes for higher levels. - Hybrid/Remote options. This is actually as much a pro as it is a con. Largely because this is gonna vary on what team you’re on, and what program. The biggest reason why this won’t work for a lot of teams (especially on the BDS side) is because of classified work that can only be done inside of cleared areas. But there is hybrid work available in BDS for some programs. Regarding other business units, BGS is confirmed to have remote options, and BCA is doing away with it (much to the dismay of the program teams). Though note, if you want purely remote work (unless you get lucky), then working for an aerospace/defense company probably isn’t for you.

Cons: The usual bureaucratic drama. But what company doesn't have that? Management is a hit or miss depending on your program/team. I’ve witnessed some really poor management in some programs with a huge lack of motivation and team spirit in their teams. This causes huge turnover among these programs and the cycle goes on. I’ve been in others with management that have gone above and beyond for their teams. They fight tooth and nail for their teams to get the compensation they deserve and show unending support for the professional growth of their team, with team spirit and morale being higher than ever. It just goes to show that Boeing, as a large company, is really a mixed bag, and you never actually know which one you're gonna get until you get there.

Pros: Good work-life balance. Best place to learn and grow.
