The Union is strong. The second shift is more laid back.
Boeing tried to get me on at $14 an hour. At the time, I had a four-year degree in engineering, two years of prior aircraft mechanic experience, and one year as an aircraft mechanic team lead. $14 an hour was nothing short of insulting. Thankfully, I negotiated for more on my own behalf.
Less management, more pay for mechanics.
The interviewers took the time to test my knowledge of my job and find out what type of person I was, all while making the interview very comfortable.
They wanted to know what I have done in the past, what has led me up to this point of wanting this job, why I want to build aircraft, what connections I have with them, and more.
I applied online and got invited to interview. Very early in the morning, you signed in for the interview. The sooner you got in, the faster you got to be interviewed.
