Very little (to no) room to advance and grow in a decreasing business environment.
The lower-level engineers virtually have little to no opportunity for promotions, no matter how good they are. This decreases morale and forces attrition.
Since business is down, morale is down - very down. This forces attrition.
Advice to Execs:
Focus on new business and how to compete. Make it your top, top, top priority.
No more lip service.
Focus on making your people first, not you first!
If you do not, the trend of people leaving will continue, and Boeing - El Segundo will cease to exist.
