You get a paycheck, but you probably thought you were actually going to work for a real company with real leaders and a real chance for success. In fact, you find out the management is corrupt and incompetent. If you are competent, you are a threat and will be shoved into a back room somewhere. All decisions for hiring and promoting are based on affirmative action quotes and ties to management family members. You want to get ahead? Have sex with a director.
Constant corruption. No decision is made on business and economics. All decisions are made based on the leader's personal gain.
They outsource to higher-priced workers and then claim you are higher-priced because they put overhead burden rates against internal (direct) workers and do not burden outsourced workers.
This means your total compensation could add up to $50 an hour, but your job would be outsourced to someone making $60 an hour. Boeing will then claim it is cheaper due to adding burden to your pay rate.
Then they increase management to manage the outsourced work, making your burden rate even higher.
Also, Boeing is not an American company; it is an international company. When they talk about the tanker deal, it is really two international companies bidding, and Airbus would actually add more jobs to the USA than Boeing would keep.
So, we should give Airbus the tanker contract.
Get rid of 50% of all management. Eliminate all 2nd-level managers and eliminate all 4th-level managers. Dump Mcneary; he is worthless.
Don't pay any manager more than 6 times the average pay at Boeing. Give employees bonuses and stock.
Make a clear distinction between contractors and outsourced workers and Boeing employees. Create policies that say you must work directly for Boeing for at least two years before being eligible for promotion to management. Build an economics department to monitor management decision-making.
Easy. Very normal interview. It did not get too technical and asked a lot of situational questions. I did not get to technical during the interview. There is also a hiring freeze, which I was notified of during the process.
Pretty straightforward. It just consisted of a verbal, face-to-face interview. I had to travel to Seattle using my own expenses. Overall, the interview was very standard. They asked about my experiences and had a few case questions they required.
Research and know the company. Behavioral and experiential scenarios. Know the STAR model to frame your thoughts before you answer. Provide any metric results based on your experience completing your work or project tasks. Smile, be enthusiastic!
