The phone interview is simple and fairly easy. Do your research on the company beforehand, and you'll be just fine. The internship included several opportunities to network inside and outside of the company.
The company has many teams, and most available tasks are too complicated for interns to handle. The internship mainly consisted of busywork and paperwork.
During the internship, I got to see how the management operated. I disagreed with their treatment of women compared to the men. Salaries also suspiciously weighed more towards the men than women. I also found that many of the employees had to stay and work overtime but were not compensated for the extra time.
Be better prepared for the interns and have valuable tasks that will improve their engineering skills rather than comprehension.
Broaden your inclusion. The diversity of employees is clearly seen, but the respect and inclusion of all people is lacking.
Hire more people from within the company. These employees work very hard day to day, and that doesn't appear to be recognized.
Interviewed at a Society of Women Engineers convention. It was a great interview, but a very competitive process. Felt like I learned a lot about the company culture and was excited about the work opportunities.
A few non-technical questions. No technical ones. Not that bad. Also, resume walkthrough. Nice people and non-stressful environment. Just answer the questions and you'll be fine. Don't think about it too hard.
Had a 15-minute HR screening call about eligibility for the job. After that, had one interview with a panel of about 4-5 engineers. They asked very typical interview questions, and they were all behavioral.
