The pay is above industry average and includes paid overtime.
The benefits are among the best in the world:
If you work here a long time, you are guaranteed golden handcuffs. You will be almost immune to layoffs due to the union, your PTO only gets better with service, and you get minimum annual raises, even if you are a low-achiever.
The culture at Boeing is indescribably poor. Much of this is a result of the union. There is extremely low differentiation amongst employees. People who work their butts off receive marginally higher raises than those who do nothing all day long. Laziness that would result in immediate termination at other employers results in no action from Boeing because the union makes employees bulletproof, except in times of extreme layoff. It is better to look good than to be good here. Boeing hardly cares about the results you generate. Success is measured by showing up on time and being present in your chair for 8 hours a day, regardless of if you do any work at all during that time.
Differentiate between your employees. When negotiating your collective bargaining agreements with the unions, do not make employees bulletproof due to service.
The paid overtime is the primary appeal of the contract, and the service perks are largely baggage. You are pushing out all your young, talented employees who seek appropriate recognition and are retaining older, entitled employees.
In the new economy, there is no more company loyalty. Workers go where the pay and the job function are most appealing. You are not going to retain any young talent with your current policies, and you will continue to lose market share to competitors if you don't fire your many worthless employees who are a drain on the system.

I had a screening interview through a phone call, and after about a month, I got scheduled for an official interview. I was asked four star questions and one "introduce yourself" question. Then, a day before the two-week mark, I received an offer l
I applied online for absolutely everything that I thought I was qualified for at all (15 positions still pending). There were no hits until I started loading my resume with keywords. They must use a database search to find people. After they select
