I have contracted in Auburn, Winnipeg, CA, Everett, and South Carolina.
They'll pay you handsomely to be a slave to the job (not 40 hours a week, more like 70 hours to survive), with a sprinkle of job security followed by Theory X Management, if you like that sort of thing.
My grandfather, who started at Boeing in 1956, died with nothing after 35 years with the company and retired. My father finally retired after a tireless 41 years. I only contracted because of my grandfather's and father's predictions, which is the Boeing business model. They don't care about their workforce and will leave the NW. For those in other regions, the same is true. Don't trust Boeing. They will force you from your life eventually.
Management are slaves to corporate and they have no compassion for anything but satisfying themselves. Grow a soul.
