Pros

Huge company, therefore lots of opportunities to move teams and change up what you're working on. You don't have to work that hard; the bar is pretty low. Great health insurance, 401k match, and tuition reimbursement programs.

Cons

Really outdated culture in the factories. Racism and sexism are extremely prevalent, and everyone accepts it and doesn't try to fix it.

Relatively low pay in Puget Sound, which is a very high COL area. As an engineer, you can get paid a lot more at other local companies, which is why top talent is leaving in droves.

Advice to Management

I would not recommend the factory environment for any woman, and that is so sad. Boeing needs to work on preventing sexual harassment and hostile work environments for its minority employees.

Additionally, the promotional and merit raises are very low and should be increased if you want to retain top talent.
