Excellent employees, but a large corporation makes fast decision-making impossible
The best part of this job are the people you work with. They all want to do their job well, and there are plenty of senior engineers to reach out to for support.
We use the phrase "hurry and wait" because the nature of big Boeing is we're either putting out fires or sitting on our hands. It can be frustrating as a new person, but as you gain more experience, you become eligible for other opportunities.
Be brutally honest with what's going on. Boeing executives are so politically correct that it's impossible to get a straight answer. Management has done the best they can to flow information down to their people, but I wish it happened more often.
