There are some really good engineers and managers at Boeing that are doing their best to provide the best products and services they can. You have the opportunity to work across many different and interesting programs if you are good and have the drive to seek it out.
These people tend to be hampered by many others who do the bare minimum and by cumbersome processes. These processes, intended to be one-size-fits-all, too frequently do not fit.
Actually listen to your employees. Don't just pretend that you are and then tow the upper management line to get ahead yourself.
