Pros

Lots of available resources to help you build your skills:

  • Educational opportunities
  • Benchmarking
  • Working with very experienced individuals in your field

High pay.

Ability to move around within the company easily.

Cons

Boasts an open culture, but there are still lots of managers that are not open to new ideas.

They invest a lot in employee engagement, but it doesn't come across as sincere.

There is a lot of empire building, which slows down the progress for change.

Advice to Management

Eliminate some of the wasteful layers of management. The visions and goals of executive leadership are watered down and often times distorted by the time they are communicated to workers. It is difficult to trace where this distortion occurs, but the message delivered by 1st-level and 2nd-level management does not reflect the values or vision that executives boast in marketing videos.
