Due to the relative lack of experience under their collective roof, there is a lot of room for personal growth and career development. A person with good skills and noticed aptitude can go far.
There was a great deal of pressure to adhere to the production schedule. While it would be achievable in time, the pace was far exceeding the workers' capabilities at that time.
In my experience, there was a huge discrepancy in the pay scale between direct and contract employees, which made the workplace environment tense at times.
All-hands meetings always included a slide showing when contract employees would be phased out. Not exactly morale-inspiring actions.
