Good compensation. Maybe not as much as you can get in Silicon Valley, but if you get the right balance of pay and a low cost of living, you'll do well.
Most people are great.
Things can still go sideways, and politics can play a big role on whether you stay or not. In that situation, it won't matter how well liked you are or how good you are at your job.
Live the Boeing values.
Interesting interview process. The initial interview round was a behavioral/culture fit type interview and didn’t seem to mind that I had never worked with Java before. I would have been leading a team that was based in India.
They call it a "Structured Interview." It's a series of extremely general questions asked via phone interview with a four-person panel. The questions were extremely general in nature and terribly difficult to answer to their apparent satisfaction.
Four rounds: phone, Zoom, in-person group, then a series of one-on-one interviews. Smart folks with good questions. They fed me lunch, which I liked.
