Pros

Boeing can be very flexible and family-friendly, depending on the organization you are with.

The medical coverage, retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, and pension are some of the best reasons to work for Boeing.

You won't likely blaze a career or make above industry average in the IT groups at Boeing unless you have some solid relationships developed with some people in high places.

Cons

Boeing is a large corporation with a great amount of girth. First-level management isn't really capable of helping you advance your career. You have to be a shining star and have some solidly built relationships with people who can effect change and are influential.

Advice to Management

Make an effort to find talent in the employee pool. Recognize that first-level management may not, or chooses not to, bring forth the talent to senior management's attention.
