I worked for Boeing Defense, Space, and Security. The people were amazing. Everyone is very supportive and interpersonal.
My project was challenging and really helped me develop as a coder. The executives over Boeing are also incredible people and engaged with me despite only being an intern.
Overall, the company treats you as an employee when you are interning.
Also, there are two tracks employees can go on:
There is a career counseling department that helps employees go through the tracks they desire and map out career goals within Boeing.
Boeing also does a great job of housing interns in the same location and throwing fun events for interns to meet each other.
Boeing is divided into programs. The beginning of my internship was tough because no one in my program knew the language I was coding in. However, my manager was very proactive in seeking people in other programs who could assist me, which improved my experience a lot. Although I had a great project, other full-time developers complained that they spent more time doing paperwork than actual coding. Additionally, Boeing is an old company, so I have also heard they lack efficient processes that other tech companies have mastered. But I do think Boeing is a great place to intern as a software developer because you really learn a lot.
Not extensive, but in detail. There were two interviews. The first one was just with the talent recruiter. I was not referred but worked as a client at TCS for Boeing.
1 phone screen, then an interview with 4 people over video chat. Technical and behavioral questions. That was about 45 minutes in length. 1 coding question at the end that was a LeetCode easy to medium level.
Two-round interview: one with the recruiter and one with the manager of the team. The initial interview was smooth, and the interviews were timed well. Mostly behavioral, with some generic technical questions.
