A lot of staff movements and restructuring going on in the business at the expense of developing core skill groups and procedural improvements.
In recent years, it seems the company has lost its way and direction. The company needs to get back to good engineering, focusing on developing/retaining talent and improving procedures and outdated tools. Not everything needs to be funded by a customer; take some initiative and implement continuous improvement to drive efficiency into clunky tools and slow processes.
Company needs to seriously review promotions and career progression. There are many good engineers leaving the business because you won't back your own people and promote them. Need to do a lot better, simple.
