Large, long-term programs. Possibility to move to different programs or different parts of the company. Possibility of changing job focus to a different area of interest in engineering. Much better than average benefits and about average salary. Very good continuing education support.
Very large management structure that can result in a long decision-making process. Difficulty achieving the next skill level at some programs/sites due to a lack of program budget. Sparse communication from senior management during periods of program uncertainty.
Standardize the promotion process across sites and programs.
Reduce the huge chain of management between regular employees and uppermost management.
Allow employees to experiment with new ideas and engineering tools, and encourage innovation.
Technical questions were focused more on solid mechanics, structures, and basic aircraft parts. Knowing CATIA software is an added advantage. Thoroughly know your projects because they like to dive deeper and ask questions related to the same.
No technical questions asked. They are super focused and live and die on the STAR questions. No test required. Not even sure if they’re allowed to ask anything outside of the STAR questions.
The interview was scheduled a few weeks in advance. I interviewed with two managers in the department over Teams. Both were nice and easy to talk to during the interview.
