Pros

The office is alright; everyone is chill.

Cons
  • Outdated stack, libraries, dependencies, and tools.
  • Custom in-house backend framework with raw SQL queries (no ORM), a custom UI framework, and most tooling are built in-house. If you think that it results in a terrible development experience, then you're absolutely right!
  • Microservices that are built by people who don't know how to do microservices (one SQL table in each service, yay!).
  • In general, the art of building good software is completely forgotten here, and over time, you'll just get used to writing bad code yourself.
  • With the recent preparations for an IPO, you get all the cons of big corporations but none of the pros yet.

In general, I do not recommend it unless this is the end of your career and you just want to find a final job where you'll learn nothing and eventually will just retire.
