Android Software Engineer Interview Experience - Amsterdam, Netherlands

April 1, 2022
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

I applied online and received a HackerRank link. This link consisted of 10 Android-related MCQs and 2 coding questions. Only Java and Kotlin were allowed for the coding questions.

I completed all MCQs and both coding questions, passing more than 90% of the test cases.

I received an email immediately after completing the test to schedule a call with the recruiter.

I had a call with the recruiter the following week. The conversation covered a basic introduction, past experience, and motivation. The recruiter informed me that I would receive a take-home assignment via email within the next 48 hours.

After waiting for more than 5 days, I sent a follow-up email to the recruiter but received no reply. I did not receive any assignment link even after waiting for more than 2 weeks.

This was a very bad experience, and I do not recommend applying to this company.

Questions

Android-related MCQs around architecture, activity lifecycle, fragments, etc.

Coding questions around HashMap, Lists, OOPs, etc.
