Process

The interview process was not very clear, and I was ghosted by the recruiter during the business stage interview. Moreover, for whatever stages we had discussions, he was the only person present, which seemed a little odd. Let me list down the steps:

  • HackerRank Test - Average
  • Chat with Recruiter - Expectations, role, location, etc.
  • After this, I had to send numerous follow-up emails. Post which, he set another meeting to discuss step #2 again.
  • Technical Interview - This was again conducted by the recruiter, where he asked 4-5 theoretical questions and requested me to write the answers in the Zoom chat (literally paragraphs).
  • Business Stage - After multiple follow-ups, this meeting was scheduled. I saw only two attendees: myself and the recruiter. This was the stage where I was ghosted.

This is very unprofessional behavior from the recruiter's side. Unfortunately, Booking.com has no system to track applications. Very, very disappointed!
