Process

Fairly decent interview. Interviewers were nice and helpful, and everything went almost well. I didn't get an offer, but that's not the problem. I at least expected a little context on why, besides them moving to a better candidate. I followed up with the recruiter and – you guessed it – I remain ghosted.

Coding Round: Trip Itinerary problem. See LC reconstruct-itinerary.

System Design Round: Design Credit Card Fraud Detection System.

Culture Fit Round: Basically a behavioral round on experience working as an engineer.

  • How do you know your API is working?
  • How do you learn? Also, follow-up conversation on being a T-shaped engineer.
  • Why booking? When you helped another engineer succeed, how you give feedback, growth mindset, all that jazz.
  • Your motivations? Over 35 questions asked, including follow-ups, during the culture fit round. Come prepared with all your stories for this round; my interviewer kept asking me for more stories for everything I said.
